Remember that dirty comforter and those Salvation Army items I had laying around waiting for me to take care of them? Well, yesterday and today I did just that. The comforter will be ready on Saturday and my little section in the garage is that much emptier.

I used them as courage builders. Since I decided to go back to school, I knew I'd have to go down to the Administration offices and talk with strangers about what I need to do in order to get my hiney in a classroom chair this fall. That sort of thing scares me. I just dread going in there not having a clue about anything, and then leaving feeling the same way. Which is exactly what happened when I walked out of the building this afternoon. But, I did it. I started. And if starting is half the battle, then I'm well on my way! This quote has been on my dry erase board for way too long.

"You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great."

  1. well im proud of you for going. the admin stuff will come, dont worry. i admire your courage.

  2. woohoo! for getting your comforter cleaned and going to the salvation army! AND for getting started on school!!!!!

The program sounds perfect for you. Whether the admin people know what they're talking about or not :)

  3. Oh, I am a bit concerned about what my social life is going to look like if both you and Jami are in school... however, keeping Vicky entertained should not hold you back from schooling :)

And I have all those books to keep me company anyway...
