Italy!

We're in Italy now, and haven't really seen much. We arrived very late last night so everything was dark. We had to take a taxi cab part of the way to the camp and I'm sure we were over charged. 30? for a 20 minute drive. What do you think? I'm having to get used to this foreign keyboard, so bear with me. We plan to get up and see the city of Venice for the whole day tomorrow. The language will be tough to conquer, but we're up for the challenge. We had some spaghetti and regatoni for lunch and it was fabulous. The lady who served us was really cool. It's real Italy! Can't wait to get some awesome photos to share. I guess that will be all for now! Ciao!

Cell phone blues overcome!

I guess I'll be reachable after all! I'll be able to post a picture or two as well.

I'll be the one

I'll be the one
Sometimes when I open my mouth
It's anyone's guess what might come out
Last one to know is usually me
My life is an open book
I'll spell it out for you, you can take a look
You might not like what you see
And hey, I'm not what you're looking for
I can tell you that and so much more

I'll be the one
Who makes you cry
I'll be the first
To say goodbye
You'll look for me
And I'll be gone
I will be, I will be the one

The girl in the sunshine dress
With her backpack full of emptiness
Won't be misleading you today
She knows from the soles of her shoes
There's a lot more here than lonely blues
Seems that's the only thing she plays
And hey, I'm not the girl you used to know
And that's why you gotta let me go
I know these aren't the words you wanted me to say
But you've go to give it to yourself before you give it all away
Give it all away

Cell phone blues

Well, I leave for Europe in about three days and I know perhaps I should have checked on this sooner, but I guess I will not be able to use the new cell phone I purchased for this trip. I went to the T-Mobile store and told them I was going to Europe and needed a tri-band phone. Everything seemed to be all settled when I left the store with my new phone. Oh what joy to have a new toy. Flash forward. I was looking into what kind of adapter I would need to get so I can actually charge the phone overseas. Well, my father reminded me to make sure the charger is dual-voltage. Of course it will be, it's an international phone, right? Wrong. It's 110V only. Not only that, but Motorola doesn't even have a dual-voltage charger available. What stinkers! Someone forget to turn his or her brain on when manufacturing this phone. I still believe I will find a way to get use of my phone. I must hold on to hope!!!

Two Weeks and counting!

Well hey! I'm getting excited for this much needed time away. I've been so 'blah' lately that it's starting to make me feel like Bill Murry's character in GROUNDHOG'S DAY. The same routine everyday can really be a drag if you let it. I try not to. But anyway! Europe! I've been there and done that as the old cliche goes, but none the less I will choose to be in high spirits about it. More than anything, I'm just thrilled to see my dear friend Cheramie! It's been six months since we've been about to sit together at the lake and conjure up big dreams together. I really adore her because she brings out the best in me. I know this time together will be cherished. I can't wait to see you Cherm!
